About Us

Matthew served as a Youth Minister while working on his Masters in Applied Theology for Midwestern Baptist University. He then pastored a SBC Church in Oklahoma directly after finishing his masters degree. Matthew then came in view of a call to serve here at Roscommon Baptist Church as the lead pastor starting offically on 15 February 2026! Prior to being called into ministry Matthew served as a Infantry officer in the Army serving one tour in Iraq, getting his Expert Infantry Badge, completing Ranger school, Airborne school, and Air Assualt school. Matthew has a servants heart loving the Lord and the flock God has entrusted him with leading towards Jesus Christ. He is a extremely biblical expository preacher who places God's Word above all else. Matthew is happily married to Katie Dunkelberger a registered nurse and graduate of Pensacola Christian College. They are exspecting their first born child in March of 2026 a sweet baby girl!

Dr. Ritchie, the chiropractor, is a Palmer graduate with post-graduate seminars in Activator Technique, Pediatrics, Industrial Consulting, Acupuncture, and Sports Chiropractic. He's an active member of the Lions Club, the Roscommon Baptist Church, and the Michigan Association of Chiropractors. He currently is serving as a Deacon in Roscommon Baptist Church. His wife Laurie is the Church treasurer, sound booth manager, and on the finance committee at Roscommon Baptist Church. This wonderful couple loves the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind faithful serving here at the Church. 

The Church Clerk Jen Heit has been happly married to Mark Heit for 18 years and faithful members of Roscommon Baptist Church for 5 years. They both love the Lord and serving in the Church. Mark is a retired 17 year Navy veteran. This wonderful couple also enjoys fishing together, kayaking, and the beautiful UP in Michigan!

This beautiful new sancturary was built in 2015 on a 20 acre plot with more room for growth and exspansion! God has truly enabled this local body of Christ to grow and reach the World with the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ!
